176.85g Natural West Australian Gold Quartz Specimen. Estimated 8.1 grams of gold by using specific gravity calculations.
(3.1 X 111.0Ww) - (1.9 X 176.85Dw). Found in the yalgoo / Murchison region. Fine gold visable throughout specimen. This piece has not been cut or polished, it is completely natural apart from a light wash with soapy water.
Some mineral rich veinlets are present causing light iron oxide staining (obscuring some of the gold content). Easily removed by soaking in a strong acid, or leave it as is for its natural beauty. Found by myself Jarrod Crosbje, featured on episode 4 Aussie gold hunters: mine sos.
